Default Halloween Quests - Something Wicked, Don't Fear, Skeletal Tide - Not Repeatable?

I was hoping to do the candy form and easy skeleton-trapping UW quests on all my characters to get a good number of ToT bags and tonics. A few of my characters had done this quest line last year (they all picked up The Waiting Game, but never did it, it's still in their quest logs). But when I talk to the Mad King's Steward, he only offers me Every Bit Helps and info on The Waiting Game. I tried dumping The Waiting Game on one of these characters, rezoned, and talked to him again, but no change.

Is it supposed to be like this?

As I recall last year there was like one quest released per day. But I could be remembering wrong and those quest might not have come out yet this year?

Hm, don't know about that. The characters that did not do the Halloween Quests last year have been able to pick up the first one today, Something Wicked This Way Comes. I also asked about it in Lion's Arch, and people said, "Yeah, it's available! Talk to the guy!"

I think you have to do the Waiting game, only 1 of my toons picked it up last year and I completed it on that toon. I already did all the quests up to the Waiting Game on all my toons this and I was able to redo it on my toon that did the Waiting Game.

Official Wiki: "Something Wicked This Way Comes," "Don't Fear the Reapers," and "Stemming the Skeletal Tide" are not available to characters who completed them last year.

Don't think I did them on my main last year then actually but I was able to pick them up on the 1 that did the Waiting Game from last year.

I have the same issue. Seems like those are not repeatable. Kinda sucks in my opinion, those were a lot of fun... On the plus side, the waiting game now rewards a stack of ToT bags whereas last year it was only 100. So I guess the waiting paid off.

Okay, I get it now. Well, guess I better twist a friend's arm to try out the Underworld, then.

Hmm maybe, there will be new ones I suppose. And to be honest I never finished the reapers quest. My bad knowledge of UW kept me going there untill I reached the bonepits and died pretty fast

Too bad, the really fun ones can't be done, leaving only the boring one and the impossible one...

P.S. How can a balanced group get the bloody Servants of grenth done?

I agree I am not that good a player and mostly inexperienced when it comes to the underworld.

Got to the waiting game last year.

Took the new quest this year in an attempt to bypass the difficult one but all I did was waste a couple of transmog tonics and 1000 gold.
ie Drank travelled and had to drink again.

No mission to do just a load of ??.

Pity really all the other festivals you get easy quests suitable for beginners and you can repeat them, though this can get a little boring that there are no new quests.

I guess Mad King Thorn just wants us all dead.

From what I have heard there will be new missions/quests. Its just extra that some new toons can also do these quests.

Isn't Every Bit Helps still available?

Yeah, but it's not nearly as fun as running around in candy form, blowing past everything in 2 minutes, and getting 50 ToT bags.

I will get to do those on some of my newer characters, though. And my aspiring Legendary Survivors are happy that, if some quests had to be restricted while others weren't, they can reap the repeatable benefits from Every Bit Helps.

I don't blame A.Net for setting it up the way they did.

I just hope if I do go to the trouble of doing The Waiting Game, it counts for last year and not this year, and lets me pick up the first three quests on that character again.

I already read somewhere that confirmed this was not the case. As soon as the quest converted from having a 100 ToT reward to a 250 ToT reward, it counted for this year. That's pretty normal for festival quests and other repeatables (like z-quests, etc) anyway.

Wasnt this supposed to be a one time deal last year? If so, the people who did the quests last year & still have the waiting game to do yet are royally screwed.

Default Hooray!

Today's update fixed it. Something Wicked This Way Comes is now available to my other character(s).

Thank you, A.Net!

Was wondering if someone who has done the "Something wicked this way comes" quest could help me out at all? I checked the wiki and it says follow the pings, dont go directly to the map marker, however running back and forwards to the pings seems to achieve nothing, sometimes 2 spots on the maps ping simultaneously. I'm sure there is something simple I have missed here, I have completed all 3 other quests from the countess of Hakewood and it seems the stewards other quests are not avilable until I complete this one so I'm kind of stuck here....

The yellow pings just give you a general clue of which direction to go, nothing special happens when you arrive at them. Follow the route marked in the map on the wiki, you should be fine.
